Excellent In Home Work Stifled by Laughable Salary and Spaghetti Scheduling.
Pros
Working in home with clients to genuinely enrich their lives is satisfying. You can set your own schedule as long as you're in touch with clients. Company vehicle. Average Progression. Ability to earn commission*
Cons
Pay rate is ridiculously low for the quality of work, responsibility and skill expected. Lots of the jobs you end up at are just something a salesperson put through to get their commission. Trivial 2 minute fixes on a cellphone or 'make an amazon prime account' It feels wrong to be billing so highly for these. Van sales targets mean that you're expected to sell in home, which diminishes the value of actually shopping with noel leemings instore and throws off your schedule for the rest of the day (if you sell a service). *Earning commission is not something you can do instore and is relegated to in home and the 'upsells' they want are ridiculous. 'development' is comptia A+, I find it uncomfortable that the company will send people into homes, at a premium price who need significant development to achieve this.
