Pros
Technically challenging work, so interesting. Company does it's own terminal hardware development and backend services. A lot of indepth knowledge of EMV/PCI requirements as a result. Good tools for global collaboration provided.
Cons
Teams regularly undersized for the work load. As a result collaboration is difficult as core teams are often heavily overworked. Company talks about offering training, management never make time to actually do training. Upper management currently seem to be actively trying to antagonise their customer base for no great reason. Company largely still stuck in a mode of wanting to just sell terminals - hasn't committed properly to providing a service offering rather than just selling terminals.
