Pros
The people at Soul Machines and the whole way the company is organized is fantastic. In contrast to current trends, allowing anyone to adopt a fully remote option did not impact performance and in fact kept everyone happy. People look out and care for each other and make you feel part of the accomplishments.
Cons
The company has managed to attract such brilliant minds and eventually has let them go, due, to my understanding, to inefficient direction from the board of investors. While the internal company management and direction has been very good over the years, we frequently felt that the general vision and feel of who was part of the company contrasted sharply with the feel and direction of the board.
