two interviews. no coding. one technical experience to learn more about technologies I used. General ML related questions and discussion about Python and SQL. And one general interview. overall it was a good experience
Notebook based coding very easy
Behavioural by hiring manager
Recruiter check in salary and comp expectation
Coding was analysis tasks
Hiring manager asked previous background and experience in ML nothing special
I thought I did ok but didn’t get move forward
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Delivery Hero (Berlin) in Feb 2025
Interview
I have interviewed with this company at least three times. Each time, the process was quite long ,typically involving four rounds: an initial recruiter call, a technical round, a deep-dive interview, and finally a bar-raiser round. While I often cleared all the rounds, I was repeatedly told afterward that the position had been put on hold or resumed later.
In one case, I was explicitly informed that I had cleared the third round, but the process ended without a clear explanation of why I was not moved forward. Despite positive feedback, I never received concrete reasons, which made the experience frustrating.
The interviewers themselves were professional, but the lack of transparency combined with such a lengthy process makes the experience discouraging. It would help if the company streamlined the process and provided clear communication or feedback, especially for candidates who make it through to the final rounds.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In the deep-dive round, they usually present a case study scenario and then ask you to write and execute code live to solve it. The focus is on both problem-solving and how you structure your approach under pressure.
Thank you for taking the time to interview with us. We recognize that transparency and timely updates are critical for candidates, especially after progressing through several rounds.
We are actively working to streamline our hiring process and improve how we share updates and feedback with candidates. While there are times when business priorities shift and roles may be paused or adjusted, we understand how discouraging this can be without clear reasons.
We’d be grateful if you could share more specific feedback via candidate.experience@deliveryhero.com
This would help us better understand where we can improve and ensure a better experience for future candidates.
Thanks!
