Our 2030 Sustainability Ambitions are an integral part of our strategy and our Purpose to protect, heal and nurture in the pursuit of a cleaner, healthier world. Across our value chain, we focus on three Pillars of activity: innovating Purpose-led Brands, enabling a Healthier Planet and contributing to a Fairer Society. We’re committed to ensuring sustainability is front and centre of our brands’ Purpose and product innovation, and we’re making progress. By developing more sustainable products we’re also helping to address challenges such as climate change, water scarcity, plastic pollution and protecting biodiversity. Sustainability is embedded into our product innovation programme, while our Sustainable Innovation Calculator helps guide us to the right decisions throughout the innovation process. This helps us to create relevant products for our consumers whilst delivering on our Purpose and progressing our Sustainability Ambitions. Learn more about the work we're doing to meet our ambitions in our 2023 Sustainability Report.
This International Women’s Day we are celebrating some of the role models at Reckitt who inspire inclusion and who go above and beyond their job to contribute to a truly inclusive workplace. We asked some our role models to share their thoughts, feelings and ambitions for the impact we can all have in helping create a more inclusive work environment for everyone.

One of the reasons people choose to bring their talents to Reckitt is that they are looking to make a long-term difference in the world. Our people want to build brands that improve lives. Introducing Vanish Oxi Action, our latest innovation in sustainable products. This new formulation, enriched with proprietary science, means you can dial down the temperature of your wash, with no compromise on stain removal performance. This not only protects fabrics and colours, but doubles the life of clothes. A colder wash also means less CO2 emissions per load, and the packaging is made of PCR plastic. Just one example of how our teams work with genuine purpose to bring new products to the world that are not only effective, but better for our world.
Reckitt recently launched our Gender Pay and Inclusion 2022 report, which details the progress we're making towards our gender balance ambition at all management levels by 2030. By listening to colleagues across our global organisation, and delivering training programmes and policies, we’re working to create an inclusive environment where everyone can reach their full potential. Learn more about what we're doing to become more inclusive and gender balanced across our business.
When it comes to putting people and consumers first, we’re always committed to going the extra mile. We’re delighted to be recognised for doing just that as we’ve been named a Top Employer 2023 in not one, not two but seven of our markets! The Top Employers Institute Awards took place last month and named our markets in the UK, Spain, Italy, USA, Canada, China and South Africa as worthy winners. We are proud to be accredited by the global authority on recognising excellence in people practices as one of the certified Top Employers who positively impact the lives of our employees globally. This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our teams across the world.
“I’m often asked, how did I find the time to release a book whilst working full time and spending time with my family? I couldn’t do it without my wife. We work as a team in everything we do." Meet Ron Italiano, our Hygiene Global Director of Packaging based in Parsippany, US. Ron has been with us for over 26 years. He recently fulfilled a dream to write and publish his very own book for children with special needs, entitled: “The Special Adventures of Choppy Wow Wow”. The story is a heartwarming tale of a helper dog and a young boy, promoting inclusion, and celebrating diversity.
