Leadership has created a vanilla corporate

Pros

Some teams still maintain a strong internal culture and collaborative spirit. Compensation is average for the industry, but additional benefits—like flexible working or wellness programs—are above average and appreciated.

Cons

Workday increasingly feels like any other large corporation. Despite frequent restructures, the same senior leaders remain in place, limiting meaningful change. The decision to outsource roles like office and workplace management has diluted the company culture, which once felt more distinct and people-focused.

Pros

Initially, the company seemed to care about its employees, maintained a decent work-life balance, offered somewhat competitive salaries, and provided supportive managers.

Cons

- Minimal salary increases - Extremely difficult to get promoted - Lack of transparency among management - Lack of design maturity across product groups - Constant re-orgs = poor morale, lack of product impact, and zero career development with shifting managers - Lack of product innovation and improvements - Dated tech stack - Verbally abusive managers are protected by the organization
