Pros

1. Leased Accommodation facility is helpful in large cities like Mumbai. (The Bank pays for your rent). 2. Salary and allowances are just average. 3. Medical Allowances are good.

Cons

These Cons are mainly concerning a System officer Job title : 1. Poor human Resource Management : A person's interest in a particular technical field is not taken into consideration at all. If you love software development, still you would be given a call centre type job. If you are not interested in Software Development, you may be forced to do that work only. 2. No concept of Job role : Any system officer would have to work any thing given by his/her superior (no questions asked). Be it Development, Networking, Management, Call Centre Style Job, or playing secretary for your boss by making presentations and writing letters on your boss's behalf. You would never be able to gain expertise in a certain technical field as a Systems officer in Bank. 3. In most cases your superior is not from a technical field and even if you are much more highly qualified than your superior, you will have to listen to your superior and do as told even though what he/she is telling you to do is very inefficient and wrong. 4. No limit to working hours : You are expected to stay in the office for at least 2 or 3 hours more than the normal working hours of 8 hours a day. Your work value is not evaluated based on how efficiently you complete your work but instead based on how late you sit in the office. Even though you have done a great job, leaving the office on time is frowned upon.
