Can do lots of hours. Support with training for Cert in Health & Wellbeing. Most residents good to be around, can be like a family.
Cons
This is for Hohepa Canterbury. Other regions will be different. Over-empowered residents, eg involved in job interviews, like to make complaints about staff. Inexperienced management would react to incident reports by calling staff in, otherwise wouldn't meet staff much. A resident will never be expelled, but staff are often fired or paid off. No Steiner values other than placing an emphasis on residents, but that is probably due to funding attached to them. The company will try to dodge responsibility for damage to staff property & even if paid for, will do so confidentially. There is a farm at Halswell which is neglected, rather than used to occupy the residents.
