Too political

Pros

MCom used to be a start up before Fiserv acquired it. A lot of developers still have good communication and can-do attitude. We also focus on technology and enjoy working on it.

Cons

Too many office politics. Scrum process becomes a micro management tool for many. Please sort out the middle management issues and bring back the original start up (used to be MCom) attitude.

Pros

Average place to learn - the only catch is that you will have to fight with the management and the scrum lords to learn. Learning is hardly encouraged at Fiserv Auckland - it's pretty much everyone for themselves. They do provide a car park in the heart of the city - so if you're looking for that it's an amazing place to be at

Cons

Politics will ruin your life at Fiserv Auckland. The management will give you peanuts after a promotion. If you are a sweet talker - you'll have a great time there coz you just have to talk your way up the ladder. If you rely on hard work and dedication for your promotion - then just forget it. I also would suggest that they provide compensation for all the therapy sessions i had to go for after leaving Fiserv. They believe in a blame culture - witchhunt is a thing there.

Pros

Great team, work/life balance is great , the product itself is quite interesting , morning team, good process.

Cons

The manager trying to motivate you gave a lot of promises about promotion. He even told me that everything was already alright and the only thing left to sort out was the HR paperwork . I was even given the week when it was going to happen. After couple of 1on 1 catch ups I just realized that he thinks I am just stupid idiot and would believe him forever. To be honest I felt as I’d been scammed. Lying when looking at a face is not probably the best type of motivation. Try increasing the salary by 30% annually, that will work for sure
