Pros

Some projects are nice. In general software architects are very good. Devs in Europe are good.

Cons

Everything else. Facilities: Office with no parking. Bad equipment (only 2 monitors and no arm to support them together). Tiny laptop screen. Management: Management is toxic. Lots of overtime expected. Layoffs in Brno happen very frequently (FNZ is cutting dev jobs in Europe and moving them to India). Little to no effort being made to migrate legacy code. Too many managers.

Pros

I don't see any pros of working in this company

Cons

FNZ was worst company I have worked for in my 8 years of experience in the software industry. The workload and pressure were consistently very high, and employees were expected to maintain extremely high work velocity at all times. Despite putting in strong effort and consistently delivering work, there was very little appreciation or recognition from management. In yearly performance reviews, even when your performance was objectively good, you were often told that there was still “room for improvement.” In my experience, this felt more like a way to avoid giving proper salary increments or rewarding employees fairly. Throughout almost 3 years, I did not receive meaningful bonuses or salary growth despite handling responsibilities seriously and working hard. One of the most painful experiences for me personally was my employment was terminated while I was in my home country on holidays. That situation completely ruined an important personal moment for me and caused a great deal of stress and disappointment. From my personal experience, the company also appeared to be aggressively shifting more operations and hiring toward India, while reducing roles in other locations whenever replacements became available there. This created a strong sense of insecurity among employees regarding long-term stability.
