Work balance life is great

It’s a lot of work

This was one of my favorite places to work, ever. If you love to sew on a machine, it is ideal! Esp as there are few jobs available like this anymore. Also, my coworkers were the best and my saddest part of moving on is I feel I will never find the same feeling with coworkers again, like I had there. I felt alot of the management truly cared about the workers. But sometimes they got into a frenzy trying to make us work faster, when we were actually supposed to be doing very precise work. So that could get stressful. Also, it was never boring as there were tons of different things to learn how to sew. But this could work against me, because I don't do well at constantly learning completely new and detailed projects and them expecting to get them done quickly. If I was always sewing the same thing, of course I would become fast! But because they often didn't know what orders or materials they would have, sometimes we didn't know what we'd be sewing. That could get chaotic. I will give it to them that they did very well at including all kinds of cultures and diverse people.

I got laid off after working there approx 1.5 years. There was a mass layoff of workers because they were in between projects. However, I had the feeling it wasn't the first time they let people come and go. And it felt quite toxic the way it happened, because for weeks people were going to work not knowing if they'd get picked to be without a job sometime randomly that day. I'd rather not work again at a company where you can't really make progress, because you never know when you might suddenly be out of a job. Or, if they only hired you to help for awhile with a certain project, but they don't really want you.
