Pros

Banyan Software is very intentional and thoughtful in its hiring process to attract A Players that are a good cultural fit. The company buys small to mid sized software companies with the intention of holding them forever (as opposed to flipping them like many firms). As a result, all of its decision making is within a framework of building long term value, which generally translates into doing what is best for customers and employees, in addition to growing the bottom line. It is growing quickly as a result of its success, but it is doing so without compromising its talent standards. By hiring high performers, and building good businesses, Banyan is building a reputation as an employer of choice in the PE and software space, which is perpetuating its ability to attract great talent. Banyan is a good home for highly skilled, hard working and caring professionals. It is not a good home for someone who wants to hide within a function and coast. Having said that, work life balance is valued at the firm.

Cons

The business is growing, and that requires growth-minded employees who thrive in fast paced environment. Expect to contribute, not ride coat tails at Banyan Software. While this is a pro, not a con for the right professionals, I've included it here to clarify that Banyan is not the right place for workers who just want to punch a clock.

Pros

Good business model, business leaders are great and they know to run the show.

Cons

The culture has been impacted a lot for the last 1 year or more. Worst HR policies, - no work from anywhere policy, no stability, no trust and the growth is questioned. They will make sure that your career is been compromised and bring people from outside for more money. The culture of the company cannot go down than what it is in 2026. Managers have become micro managerial and make you feel less empowered in your role. Leadership changes are constant and the company has adapted hire and fire culture. Employees go through grind when the company really needs them and their extra hours, but when the employee asks for levy at some point then the company rules and regulations pop up. No courtesy or humility left.
