Pros

-WLB very good, they respect your time and don't encourage working outside of normal work hours. - Fully remote available. - Good perks for in-office employees like free food, lots of social events

Cons

- Focuses too much on culture and social events, feels a bit cult-like at times. - Depending on team, can feel isolated in your role. - Deskilling experience, siloed in your work and it's hard to branch out. - Toxic positivity, hard to give feedback honestly - A lot of people are just coasting or doing the bare minimum

Pros

Lunch is really good. Lots of networking and connections. Still growing without much redundancies. This can be a secure job at higher levels. Pay is good but not the best in the market.

Cons

Very slow SDLC process that almost seems like waterfall. Unclear growth path after a certain terminal level. Not very egalitarian. Seems more ethnocratic especially at higher levels. Lots of rest and vesters. Looks to be in that stage of adding more process to tame the chaos. Stock options have been devalued by some investors however the company is yet to recognise such devaluation in their refresher grants.

Pros

A well known company that user like to use the software. So your work is seen, if that's important to you.

Cons

There is no tangible recognition for a good quality process, no structure to help you succeed in your role nor any support to get there in a chaotic and painfully adhoc delivery cycle. Read this as; no one can make any decisions by themselves and a company of 5000 is dictated to by 3 people. One of which openly brags "‘wartime’ approach to staff performance", how about an inch of sanity in Product development, team empowerment and a culture of quality and encouragement. Do not expect empowerment or autonomy in this environment and do not expect to be cared for. Unless you're a chop shop engineer and love to be told what and how to do it... repeatedly for the same feature. Walk away and keep your morals.
