Amex Bahrain IT department is by far one of the worst places I have ever worked at in my career. IT department is headed by someone by a sales rep and grossly incompetent folks who would other wise have a hard time finding a job in their own country. I would recommend folks to stay away from their IT department.

Be cautious if you’re considering a job offer here. I accepted an offer and resigned from my previous job, only to have it rescinded due to minor discrepancies in my employment dates—details that most companies would overlook. Even though contract was signed. Key Points: Thorough Background Checks: The company has a very detailed vetting process that can lead to rescinded offers for minor issues. Rigidity in Policies: The strict adherence to their own rules without room for flexibility left me without a job after I had already resigned from my previous position. Their offer to reconsider me for employment after a year didn’t change my decision not to reapply, as this experience showed a potentially inflexible and risky work environment
