Pros

- Good to learn AWS services - 3 months of trainign before role starts - Pays well for first 2 years with sign on bonus but base salary very low

Cons

- Expected to work weekend shift (tues-saturday) - a lot of new starters resign within the first 6 months - The job is a high tech call center - Most customer issues are fixed by reading documentation - Management imposes metrics/KPIs that are sometimes not fair - Not flexible (i.e appointments during day) - need to be available for a live chat or call - Team morale very low - Company culture bad - Management won't give $20/pp for a team dinner or end of year party (budget restrictions) - Hiring freeze so no internal opportunities

Pros

Good work-life balance and ability to WFH. Once you are off-shift you are really off-shift. Salary is very strong for NZ market and you can do AWS certs for free.

Cons

The work is not glamorous and at times you may feel like a customer service agent.
