Pros

Weekly morning tea for the company (contributions from staff roster); intelligent people; dogs allowed in the office; ad-hoc vouchers given to staff for contribution; opportunities for staff to try and lead change; reasonably good software.

Cons

Staff are consistently put into the deep end by over-selling experience to (potential) clients and without clear commissioning of the work; meaningful internal change is often deferred; over-time is difficult to be reimbursed for (even legal time-in-lieu); unclear roles and responsibilities in each practice; branding isn't first tested with staff; cultural competency is high but only among a small number of staff who are in unfair demand; HR issues aren't handled well, and the structure of people managers and project managers doesn't bode well for career progression nor healthy self-esteem. A lot of staff have burned out here because complaints and concerns about capacity are always secondary to maximising revenue; profit over people.

We give a damn jk

Pros

Free fruit Ability to work from home Range of projects to be a part of

Cons

Don't actually give a damn at all. Cutting the amount of EAP sessions staff who were made redundant are able to access reveals the company's true colours. Previous issues with staff (bullying) not handled well, absolutely no cultural competence or safety for non-white staff.
