Pros

Nothing except Number of leaves (extra 10 compared to other companies ) but there are catches too - Coming office 1 second late after 10 am then it is considered as half day. - Similarly if you leave office early is considered as a half day. So come late and leave early is full day leave due to punching machine issue ;) - Also leaves includes your weekends i.e. Saturday & Sunday during your vacation

Cons

- You need to compromise your personal integrity to take up any sort of low graded even you are not hired for it as these Bangalore site is not a purely product based development but other Alstom locations outsourced their low graded works to this office with pre-determined/pre-decided days and no. of engineers. - As it is expected from employees must be ready to work on any as this office needs average engineers who will not dare to voice his/her opinions/issues and not easily leave this company. No trainings to save cost and employees has to learn their own to deliver things on time as per agreement with peers. - offering pay is very less than average industry pay. Need not to mention here as you will come to know when you will negotiate with HR during your salary discussion. - In this site, most of local management always talk about ALSTOM's values but never seen in their actions. Other-hand great companies do not always talk about their values but clearly reflects in their actions. - So much documentation, cumbersome processes and engineers has to execute it their own and it is mentioned as part of their yearly goal settings. - Usually HR speaks quite louder to suppress your voice/complaints, can put any absurd allegation. Very reckless by nature. - Most of Good engineers are leaving this site after joining. - While taking decision about your next assigned work, you are not part of decision making and management do not take you in their confidence. Only benefits to the engineers those have common with their managers like Language, places etc. - For billing purpose from other business units (BU) Employees are required to fill the time sheet that how many hours he worked on what things on daily basis.

Pros

No Pros in this company.

Cons

They recruits candidates with generic skills(C,C++ etc) and later they will ask them to work on documentation, testing etc. They don't have a defined requirement before recruiting the candidates. They have head count targets. so they recruit every candidate who comes for interview and later when they don't get any projects they will harass the employees. No wise people in Middle level and top level management .

Worst place to work!

Pros

nothing good to say about this place

Cons

Avoid this place at all cost!. Very toxic place. Absolutely no growth. If you want to build a carrier and learn new technology, this place is not for you. Things under Bombardier were fine until ALSTOM took over. This place is now plagued with politics run by an extremely incompetent and egoistic management who doesn’t know how to run the business. The management is more like a gang who support each other in all poor decisions they make and will have no shame to bully their own employees in front of others. The management (The GANG) is known to “push” people out if you speak up or disagree. Even the head of HR was not spared! That is why the cream of workforce has left (or pushed out) in recent years and what is left is extremely de-motivated people who are either close to retirement( like me) or are incapable to find a job elsewhere! This is the place where they hire “technical project manager “with zero technical skills, resulting in the technical people taking the extra load of incompetent management. The head of software team has never written or seen code in his life. Every other person around you is some sort of manager. If you are in a technical role then a good chunk of your day is spent in providing status and not doing actual work. The company is financially struggling due to poor management decisions and of course the blame is always pushed down to people underneath.
