Mission From the beginning, we have always aimed to be a company that stood the test of time. We began operating in Auckland, New Zealand in 1978. In 1979, our founding partners made the decision to create the 100-year vision – a company that would stand for 100 years. They would employ the right people, with the right passion to make this vision come to life.
All decisions are made on the basis that we will be here for another 100 years. This view shapes our approach to recruitment and training of team members, customer and supplier relationships and growth strategies.
Through our journey, we have never lost sight of our long-standing view of building a strong and passionate team to deliver the ultimate Mainfreight experience. As quoted in our Ready, Fire, Aim book “The 100-year vision is now not simply a finite point, but rather something that starts afresh everyday – an evolving vision, a long-term view way of life.”
