I applied online. I interviewed at The Warehouse Group (Auckland, Auckland)
Interview
Process seemed simple, but I had a horrible interview experience. They asked questions around their own tech stack and gave very little attention to what I had to say or my answers. No eye contact, a panel of three and out of that three only one seemed interested in my experience.
Interviewers were two managers who really need to change the way they do interviews immediately! No behaviour type questions, and not really technical questions as well. It was just about looking for a specific person. When it came to me being allowed to ask some questions, the questions I asked I could tell they didnt really listen to the question, they were quite defensive and very direct. So lacked listening skills, and made it very obvious they were not interest. I was glad I got rejected because I could just tell I am better off with a boss who listens.
They definitely need to improve on their interview skills, and how they represent the company because I had no doubts the company and tech stack they were using was really good.
Just poor people skills from the interview panel, really put me off The Warehouse Group.
