Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself and how your background relates to this position?
I applied online. I interviewed at Leidos (London, England) in Jun 2026
Interview
The recruitment process started professionally, but my interview experience was disappointing.
The scheduled interview could not proceed because the Microsoft Teams meeting link appeared to be configured in a way that did not allow me to join using my personal email account. Prior to the interview, I had tested my system and Teams setup and confirmed during the call that everything was functioning correctly on my side.
What I found particularly frustrating was that the issue appeared to be attributed to me rather than being treated as a meeting access problem. The interview was not rescheduled, and I later received a rejection without having had any meaningful opportunity to discuss my experience or suitability for the role.
Technical issues can occur in any organisation, but I would have expected a more collaborative approach to resolving the problem and a fair opportunity to complete the interview before a hiring decision was made.
Phone screening followed by one on one interview. The one on one made no sense, there was no structure and the questions that were asked weren’t even for listed technologies or languages that were in the job description.
