The process took 3 weeks. I applied at 20th November for an Associate Developer role with Smartly at Datacom Website. First stage is doing the online coding test along with recording response when you answer the technical question. Second Stage is meeting with a Solution Architect at the Smartly team where it is a technical interview, wasn’t that too difficult but I have learned some new things coming from the architect. Third stage I proceeded by a call from the HR consultant that I have been moved to a live coding session where it links with the final stage of team culture fit and I agreed with this and got the time scheduled for the interview. I joined the MS teams live coding session interview and I was there 5 minutes earlier than the meeting time. I was waiting for over 30 minutes and the interviewer didn’t appear. I then messaged to the HR Consultant that I was waiting for a long time and the interviewer didn’t appear so after a few hours later, the hr consultant replied back and used the automated message where it is telling that business requirements and the role has been put on hold. I feel like this is pretty unprofessional and they really should not waste a candidates time if they cannot appear in the interview. Datacom really should’ve done better and they could’ve at least told me earlier about the role been cancelled or on hold before they give me the meeting link or at the interview date where it has been scheduled. I hope that Datacom doesn’t repeat that same mistake.
