I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Blue Star (Rānchī) in Feb 2012
Interview
The panel was amicable. Most of the questions were based on mechanical engineering technicalities. The ensured that the interviewee was comfortable throughout the process by offering water and time to put together my thoughts. Their was a short HR process near the end.

Question 1
Mostly tech based such as how does a compressor work and how does a steam engine make turns. As it was a campus interview they expected me to know engineering knowledge and nothing much on the HVAC industry. Rest was on the line of interests, hobbies etc.
very good experience👌this process makes me feels as free to talk. They get involved with students and made us feel free and comfortable. They gave idea about the company and outline of description of the role.
I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Blue Star (Bengaluru) in Feb 2016
Interview
The interview process was well organized! I first attended an online test (Both Technical and Aptitude). Since I had taken Refrigeration And Air Conditioning as an elective I found the technical part quite easy for the most part with occasional questions from other basic subjects like dynamics and SOM. The aptitude was mostly reasoning. Then came the GD and the HR round where they focused mainly on my resume. And a final technical round happened following which they called me after a week.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Blue Star (Chennai) in Dec 2012
Interview
The process consisted of 4 rounds : Technical + Aptitude test, Group Discussion, Interview Round 1 (HR), Interview round 2 (Technical held at their HQ). Technical questions were mostly to do with R&AC. We were free to choose our own topic for group discussion. The HR team filtered out the remaining by gauging their interest in the field of R&AC. They were a nice bunch of people. They shortlisted a final 8 (3 from EEE and 5 from MECH) for a final technical round at the HQ which was held two weeks later. This, I felt was still more of HR than tech.
