Do you WFH and look after your baby at home? I’m about to have my first baby and I’m anxious about returning after mat leave. Do you have a nanny, or use daycare? I would love to keep baby at home but I’m not sure if my employer would be upset
How long did you give your nanny to get acclimated? I feel like mine started off strong doing all the things I wanted her to do (tummy time, reading, etc), but now she just tries to put the baby asleep as quickly as possible so she can read or scroll on her phone. I find myself repeating things a lot but starting to get a little frustrated
How did you decide to medicate (or not) your ADHD diagnosed child? My son just finished second grade with As and Bs thanks to a great teacher and a lot of daily accommodations (reminders, extra movement breaks, fidgets etc.). We have a 504 plan documented so that the accommodations can continue next year and we are in occupational therapy to learn strategies to stay organized, control impulses etc. continued..
I am looking for success stories. My 2 1/2 year old was just diagnosed with free nut allergies after having a reaction. I am feeling extremely guilty for not making more of an effort to give her more exposure earlier. Once we got past peanuts, I didn’t really focus on nuts. I want to start OIT but there is a waitlist and I’m hoping someone has been through this with a similar age. Everything I google says even a 6 month delay can have a big impact on the outcome.
33F, 9.5 months postpartum. I feel like I’ve lost my communication skills since becoming a mom. I wasn’t a great speaker before pregnancy, but now I fumble even in my native language, let alone English (my second/third language). At a recent dinner with friends, I could see their confused faces a couple of times when I couldn’t fully express what I was trying to say. Has anyone else experienced this postpartum “brain fog” or difficulty finding the right words? Does it get better with time?
Because companies offer what they need to in order to be competitive in a specific market. It’s inherently not fair if you’re doing the same role, but it’s true with paid time off, leaves, benefits, salaries, etc. For what it’s worth, your salary will probably be significantly greater being US based.
It was more of a rhetorical question. But thank you for answering
