Pros

Nintex is a FANTASTIC place to work. The products add immediate value to our customers and we have a great vision that will give us a long future. Everyone I work with is awesome - people are always willing to lend a hand to whatever task is mentioned and that means we can be much more responsive to our customers. My fellow employees are smart and they care about what they are doing and it makes it easy that our products are so cool so our customers love us. In my specific role, I have the best boss and moving up the food chain, all of the ELT are extremely approachable and easy to reach. That's impressive for a company of our size. We also have monthly all of company meetings where we receive the latest updates directly from the ELT so we're always kept in the loop. The work is really interesting and varied and most of the time it's at a reasonable level. There are the odd times when we're stretched but I challenge you to find a job where that isn't the case. HR do a fine job of looking after us with regular employee events such as ergonomics, diversity, financial advice, health alongside the cool things - random fruit boxes to our houses, birthday celebrations and regular regional events.

Cons

During Covid we all had to work from home as the world locked down and during that time new remote working practices were established. Now that we're coming out the tail end of Covid the norm is for remote working and fewer people are coming into the office. While this is convenient for lots of people, it's very hard to maintain a culture that you can only foster with in-person contact. Many other organisations are strongly encouraging their staff to return to the office but we're doing the opposite. Don't get me wrong - we have a strong culture and HR look after us wonderfully but I am worried that this will erode over time because we don't have much of that in-person contact.

Thanks for taking the time to share this level of detail about your experience working at Nintex – we’re happy to hear it’s been a great journey for you so far. Your comment on remote vs. in-office working is well-taken and we think it’s important to see each other in-person sometimes too. We also believe that our virtual-first environment best enables integrated and collaborative work across our global workforce, while providing our people flexibility and freedom to work how and where they work best. As we work towards building on the solid virtual culture we have today, we also look forward to creating opportunities for our global workforce to get together meaningfully in their respective markets (if you have any great ideas for New Zealand get-togethers, send ‘em our way!).
