Pros

Solid pay and benefits (incl health insurance). Good ability to travel between NZ and Australia (and sometimes beyond). The people are down to earth, friendly and high performing. Additional days leave are also available for COVID family support and volunteering, which is encouraged by leadership. Thoughtful risk taking and delivering tangible results is encouraged and really celebrated. There those in senior roles are expected to hit the ground running with real proactivity and accountability required. This is either a pro or a con depending on the type of person you are. Everyone is different! Eg. In the consulting division for example, as an engagement manager, you're expected to manage the project PnL, team resourcing and manage the client. This can be a shock to the system for those who aren't used to it. Tonnes of opportunities for career growth with open roles all around the world, with NZ leadership team very approachable and supportive in facilitating career conversations (over medium to long term). It's great fun flying over to Australia to visit the rest of the team in Sydney and Melbourne. Sponsorship events are also good fun. Very flexible hybrid work policy with ability to work from anywhere globally for 1 month of the year (subject to you being able to do your work)

Cons

Work hours can be longer than your typical corporate in NZ. Mastercard is a global company so depending on your role, your day can start early or late due to time differences. The onboarding process is a bit chaotic, taking a while to get access to systems. Mastercard is a huge, global beast, with teams all over the world, so admin can be complex to handle. You'll definitely need patience.
