About the role
At Flywheel (a part of Omnicom Media), we are seeking a talented mid-weight designer to join our creative team. As a key member, you will be responsible for translating brand strategies into visually appealing and effective design solutions that resonate with shoppers across both physical and digital touchpoints.
You will help drive and complete design projects with supervision from Senior Team members, providing professional input at various stages of the creative process. From initial concept and ideation, through to developing campaign assets, and final production, you will add value wherever the brief takes you.
The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing design excellence across multiple mediums, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Experience
Education: Degree-level qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a graphic designer, showcasing a robust portfolio emphasizing strong design principles and the effective communication of ideas.
Software Proficiency:
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong proficiency in Figma for creating presentations, prototyping, and mapping out digital layouts.
Experience with Adobe After Effects (or similar motion tools) is a major plus.
Core Principles: Strong foundation in layout, colour, and typography, backed by a natural intuition for digital user journeys (deep UX/UI expertise not required).
Communication: Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts clearly and concisely, fostering effective collaboration with teams and clients.
Production Knowledge: Knowledge of both print production processes and digital specifications, ensuring designs are executed accurately across various mediums.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of creativity and attention to detail.
Growth Mindset: Continuous learning mindset, staying abreast of industry trends, digital innovations, and emerging technologies to infuse fresh ideas into projects.
