We're looking for a casual Coding Coach to assist us with school holiday camps and after-school classes.

The Skill Samurai Learning coach is responsible for;

• Understanding and executing procedures of the Skill Samurai franchise (e.g. opening, closing and learning centre presentation).
• Preparation of classroom before lessons.
• Ability to lead a group of young children (ages 6-16).
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and other team members.
• Be able to explain Computer Science material effectively. Lesson Plans and training provided.
• Delivering a high standard of care and education to all students
• Attend paid staff meetings and professional development (training).

Characteristics and qualifications

• A background in Coding, ideally block coding, java, python (No tertiary qualifications required).
• Experience in, or a keen interest in coaching and teaching children.
• Ability to connect and communicate with parents on their child’s learning
• Accept direction, supervision and constructive criticism
• Ability to possess a high degree of professionalism (Appearance, dress, communication)
• Ability to establish effective relationships with parents and children
• Have an understanding of computer science and the curriculum
• Able to multi-task

Hours of Operation (as a guide):

School Holiday Hours Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

After School Classes:Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 6:30pm Saturdays/Sundays: 8am-4:30pm
