Health Care Assistants are the lifeline of the health care industry, we are looking for a positive and proactive Health Care Assistant to support our busy and hardworking team within the Queen Mary Maternity Unit. This role is an ideal way for you to kick start your career in health and gain invaluable experience.
About the role
We pride ourselves on having a strong focus on customer service, and its success is reliant on effective communication and teamwork. In this important role you will help with a range of direct and non-direct patient care tasks under the direction from the midwives and nurses on the ward, maintaining the department environment to ensure efficient and effective functioning including:
Hours of work are Monday to Sunday inclusive, based on rostered shifts including nights and weekends - please note these rostered shifts are not fixed.

Not only do we get to care for fabulous women and families from all across our diverse region, we also get to work alongside kind, compassionate, dedicated midwives and other health professionals to provide a safe and positive birthing experience.
Each year we birth around 1,800 babies and work closely with the midwifery and medical schools to give the kind of care our patients deserve.
